Meet Mohammad
Mohammad is a Psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural, and psychological concerns. Raised in Horsham, Mohammad later moved to Melbourne to pursue his studies, initially exploring a career in aviation before finding his path in psychology. He completed his undergraduate degree and Honours at Swinburne University, and his Master of Clinical Psychology at Federation University in Ballarat, before returning to the Wimmera region. During his training, Mohammad completed a placement at a school in Ararat, looking back fondly at his time in the community, which was a big reason he decided to return.
Mohammad has experience providing individual therapy and group-based interventions across a range of wellbeing and clinical settings. He has a particular interest in working with adolescents and adults navigating complex emotional experiences, life transitions, and behavioural challenges. His clinical interests include anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, emotional regulation, and cognitive and learning assessments.
Mohammad draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. He is also an ASA-certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) Level 1 practitioner, supporting clients experiencing sleep-related difficulties using structured, evidence-based interventions.
His approach is collaborative and strengths-based, with a focus on creating a safe and respectful space where clients feel heard and supported to work towards meaningful and sustainable change. Mohammad values early intervention and is strongly committed to improving access to high-quality psychological care in rural and regional communities.
Outside of the clinic, Mohammad enjoys spending time with friends, going to the gym, and playing video games (strictly for research purposes, of course).
